Happy New Year everyone. Thank you so much for those who are donating and praying for AHF. There is enough funds in AHF to continue to employ 3 nannies through the year 2045. God continues to bless this ministry as the amount of money coming in outpaces the money being sent to employ the nannies. In fact, we have recently asked about expanding the ministry due to the healthy funding level.
2018 has been a wild ride for adoptions in Ethiopia. As many of you know over the last several years, adoptions have been continually restricted. Unfortunately, Ethiopia is now a closed country for US Adoptions. The adoption agency (America World) we partner with in order to make the logistics happen has taken several trips this past year to help determine the lay of the land and future opportunities. There is a great need and desire to continue to serve the orphan population and local nationals through AHF and as mentioned above, we continue to discuss expanding ministry opportunities. These discussions typically take quite some time, but we will be sure to post updates on here as we learn more. |
