We have a very exciting post for the 3rd Quarter update. This is the first chance we have been able to receive feedback from folks who are on the ground in Ethiopia. A service team who was traveling with America World Adoption Agency was able to visit Kebebe Tsehay Orphanage this summer. Through this team, we were able to ask a few questions of the nannies that AHF has funded. We also received pictures of 2 of the 3 nannies that have been hired through AHF. Below are the questions and the answers we received from the nannies via a translator.
Q: What is a typical work day look like for you? What activities do you perform at Kebebe Tsehay? A: They feel positive and they do best every day at work. They have to do tasks like: feeding, caring, diapering, bathing & washing, dressing and so forth on their daily routine. Q: What is your favorite part of interacting with the children? A: All kinds of interactions with children are enjoyable for everyone. Q: What do you find most challenging in your daily work at Kebebe Tsehay? A: They do not feel that the work they do is challenging, but it would be good if they are able to diaper, cloths, and play games on a regular basis to do their job well. Thanks to all of you who are involved in this ministry for orphans. Feel free to share this great update with your friends as we celebrate direct actions of God’s command to care for the fatherless. |
