We are pleased to add some information about a couple of the nannies that are employed to serve the children because of AHF.
Aberash Zewge and Debrework Afework both work at Kebebe Tsehay Orphanage in Ethiopia. They answered a few questions for us and they are posted below. What does a typical work day look like and what activities do you perform? -Feeding children, changing diapers, changing clothes, caring for the little ones, putting them to bed, and playing with children. What is the most challenging part of your job? -"Bathing the special needs children is the most challenging work as the children can't control themselves, so it's difficult to wash them" -"When I see babies get sick and specifically when the little ones deceased, I really get that as a big challenge." What is the favorite part of your job? -"Feeding the children. I work with special needs children and when I see them finish his/her portion of food, it makes me so happy." -Feeding bottle for the infant babies is the favorite part of my job." Hopefully, this gives everyone a brief look into their world and ways we can pray for them. Thanks to America World Adoption Agency for facilitating the interviews and pictures. |
